At a court in Hull, a judge has recommended that a two-year-old boy is taken into care, after social workers said he was suffering from breathing difficulties due to his parents smoking heavily.
The two-year-old boy has been put up for adoption.
The judge ruled that the child should be taken into care after hearing that he was surrounded by a “visible cloud of smoke” at his residence and was suffering from breathing difficulties.
The details of the case emerged in a written ruling by the judge, following a family court hearing in Hull.
