A study conducted by the High Fliers programme shows that recruitment prospects for those graduating from UK universities are at their best for a decade. The study looked intensively into the graduate market for 2015 and suggested that those paying the steeper fees for higher education will also enjoy the benefits of a better economy.
Over four-fifths of the UK's leading graduate recruiters are currently offering paid work-experience for students and recent graduates with a reported 13,049 places this year. This is good news as surveys confirmed most first jobs are obtained through training with the company. The UK's leading employers plan to develop graduate recruitment even further in 2015, with 8% more vacancies predicted than those available in 2014. Greg Clark, the universities minister confirmed the statistics: "Confidence in the economy continues to grow, and this is reflected in the fact that Britain's top companies will recruit more graduates this year than they have for a decade.”
