The sister of the 27-year-old road accident victim Harjit Singh Thaliwal, Manpreet, has paid tribute to her brother who died on 6th September. She extolled him as being 'one in a million'.

The Thaliwal family is still struggling to adjust to the reality of Harjit's death, after he died in a car crash on the A6 at Mountsorrel at 7.20 pm on the 6th. Manpreet said, “He has always been at my side and I just can’t accept he is not going to be there any more.”

The day the accident happened, Harjit was driving his £45,000 black BMW X6 he had just picked up the same day. According to the police, a VW Scirocco was involved in the fatal crash. Both cars were travelling away from Loughborough and towards Leicester when the crash happened, about 800 yards south of the Rothley/Mountsorrel exit. A 27-year-old man who was arrested in connection with this incident is now realeased on police bail, subject to further enquiries.

Harjit and Manpreet, together, had set up a business- Blush Beauty Box in Ashby Square in Loughborough. She said, “We relied on each other, supported each other, we were always there for each other but Harjit was the driving force.”
