Bradford-based restauranteur (or Bradfordeer) Mirash Ali has been nominated for the category of chef of the North in this year's English Curry Awards. The owner of Paprika eatery, located in Greengates retail park, is hoping to walk away with the win after all his hard work to date. He was also nominated for a House of Commons' Tiffin Cup award in 2010 when he was employed at his brother's restaurant in Lancaster. 'I've been a chef for 27 years now,' stated Ali, 'and it would be great to bring this title back to Bradford.' Whether or not Ali can beat other talent in the area will be revealed on October 13th at the official ECA ceremony.
