Women have proven to be equal to their counterparts for several years; but it may not be farfetched to claim that women are now overtaking men in many aspects. According to figures published by UCAS, women dominate two thirds of university courses. The figures show that there are 66,840 more women on degree courses than men.

The number of young women enrolling in higher education is on a constant uprise.

The head of the university admissions service stated that politicians were disregarding the broadening gender gap, while also suggesting that affirmative action was needed for poor white boys who may miss out on higher education.
