A curry house has sent a Valentine's Day meal 300 miles to a customer in Scotland after he fell in love with the restaurant's food.

The Khyber Tandoori Restaurant in Melton Road, Belgrave, was first visited by a businessman who lives near Edinburgh, 20 years ago, when he was in Leicester. It is owned by brother Dinesh and Ashok Raval.

After years globe-trotting for work, the consultant returned home to Scotland. He has ordered a special meal for two as a surprise for his wife on February 14.

The meal was posted on Thursday with Parcelforce – and will set the curry lover back nearly £100.
