Carjackers who stole a mum’s Audi with the mother and baby still inside deliberately caused a crash to get her out of the driving seat.
Police said the four-man gang engineered a collision to ensure she had to step out of the car to exchange details.
The mum was only able to flee with her child when the criminals pulled into a side road.
The victim, who was driving a grey Audi RS6, was rear-ended by a car with blacked-out windows at a set of traffic lights.
The men demanded her car but she refused, saying her baby was in the back.
The four men were Asian. One was around 5ft 10ins, stocky and with facial stubble. He wore a navy blue tracksuit.
