Volunteers from Leicester have travelled to the north of England to help families affected by the devastating floods wrought by Storm Desmond. Worshippers at the Masjid Abu Hurairah Mosque, in North Evington, were horrified by what they saw on the news of the carnage left by the storm, earlier this month. It sparked a remarkable 48-hour appeal, supported by mosques across the city, to collect supplies for the Cumbria 2015 Flood Appeal.
