Hollyoaks actress Mandip Gill is set to run Birmingham's half-marathon which will take place on the 19th of October. The talented British-Indian plays the character of Phoebe McQueen in the Channel 4 television soap and will now run on behalf of The Alicia Boparai Foundation which raises funds for cancer research. The charity was set up by Boparai's family in memory of the young beauty and her courageous battle with a rare type of cancer. Gill will be running alongside many national stars in the city marathon.
