Recently there has been an increase in Islamophobic attacks around the Midlands and North as caught on camera in Sheffield and Birmingham. Footage emerged in Sheffield of a man being kicked off a tram making racial slurs and arguing with fellow passengers.
Another incident occurred in Birmingham where a video emerged showing a group of Muslims being abused. The police confirmed that a 43 year old woman being taken into custody. Both the South Yorkshire Police and Kirklees District Police say that they take a serious stance when dealing with racial abuse.
