'Saathi' nights founder passes away

Perdes Simplay, the founder of one of the UK’s longest running Asian LGBTQ’s nights, has passed away. Famous for setting up the popular ‘Saathi’ club night in Birmingham, Simplay died in Torquay. According to reports he appeared to be attempting to climb a drainpipe when he fell about 20 feet to the ground. The ‘Saathi’ club-night was set-up in 2001 and has fast became one of the most popular South Asian gay nights in the UK. It is not known if ‘Saathi’ will take place this month, which has been scheduled for 29th March 2019.
