How to prevent flu?

Improving immunity is very important to combat any infection. Flu is a kind of viral infection and is highly contagious. Doctor’s called it influenza and symptoms include extreme body pain, muscle ache, headache, severe cold and stuffy nose with extremely high fever, chills nausea or vomiting. Usually it gets better after five days and sometimes last for 7 days. Even if the flu fever is gone you still feel drain for weeks. So, Ayushakti’s approach is to build an immune system in advance to prevent the flu and if the flu comes again restore the immune system and the energy quickly through herbs, diet and lifestyle.

 

Diet: When there is flu definitely just take mung and vegetable soup or warm khichdi and stop everything else specially wheat, gluten, dairy, meat and deep fried products. When you give rest to your digestion system it focuses on quickly restoring the immune system and also this kind of food can burn the toxins so the fever is controlled very quickly.

 

To prevent the frequent flu, one can drink warm ginger water 2-3 times a day.

 

Home Remedy:

 

  • Turmeric powder 2 teaspoon, 
  • Pomegranate juice ½ cup. 
  • Black pepper ½ tsp.  
  • Mix and drink this juice daily to improve immunity and prevent allergic conditions. 

 

If you are already suffering from flu then you can cut half a pomegranate peels boil it with 2 glasses of water and make quarter cup filtered and add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp of basil juice, 1tsp ginger juice and drink it warm 3 -4 times a day in same proportion. 

 

After fever is gone start eating 5-10 almonds a day with dates and drink carrot, pomegranate, beetroot, celery, apple juice, 2 – 3 times a day for quick energy. Drink lots of water 10-12 glasses of warm ginger water is preferred with rock salt and jaggery. Rest and keep your nose and mouth cover to prevent spreading of contamination.
