Being overweight and having a large waistline increases the risk of prostate cancer, according to a study by University of Oxford. The study finds that men on the wrong side of 50 can significantly reduce their chances of developing aggressive prostate cancer by losing a few inches around the waist. Research on over 140,000 men from eight European countries with a average age of 52 found that a 4in (10cm) larger waist circumference could raise the chances of getting the most deadly type of prostate cancer by 13%.
