The BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi has been presented with the prestigious Tolerance Award at a major international diplomatic summit in the United Arab Emirates.
Bestowed during the third International Dialogue of Civilisations and Tolerance Conference, the accolade recognises the temple's exceptional contributions to fostering global harmony and social cohesion.
The three-day global convening, hosted by the Emirates Scholar Centre for Research and Studies alongside the Abrahamic Family House, brought together over 4,500 participants from 120 countries under the thematic banner of assessing artificial intelligence's impact on communities.
HH Brahmavihari Swami accepted the scientific committee's prize from Emirati chancellors Dr Abdulla Belhaif Al Nuaimi and Dr Khalifa Al Dhaheri. The committee highlighted the temple's historic volunteer-led crisis relief efforts and intercultural initiatives like the Festival of Harmony as core reasons for the selection. This landmark award coincides with the UAE's official declaration of 2026 as the Year of the Family.
