L’Oreal, the French beauty company, has appointed Manashi Guha as the Managing Director of the Consumer Products Division (CPD) in the UK & Ireland, with her tenure beginning on October 1.
This appointment underscores the increasing presence of global leadership talent emerging from the SAPMENA (South Asia-Pacific, Middle East & North Africa) region. This region, housing 40% of the world's population, is a vital talent hub and one of L’Oreal's fastest-growing areas worldwide.
Guha previously served as a founding member of the SAPMENA zone management committee, a new zone established in 2021 as a strategic growth region for L’Oreal Groupe. During her time on the committee, she developed the strategic mission for CPD in this new zone, recognising the immense market potential where 50% of the world's new consumers are expected to originate.
Her leadership experience in emerging and rapidly evolving markets, notably in India and Indonesia, will equip her well for her new role. L’Oreal expects Manashi Guha to bring an entrepreneurial mindset, consumer-centric approach, agility, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to excellence to her new assignment.
India has also become a key talent center for L’Oreal, with recent appointments such as Vismay Sharma as President of SAPMENA and Asmita Dubey as Chief Digital & Marketing Officer.
