With the introduction of the new 12 sided £1 coin, coming March small and medium-sized businesses are likely to be burdened, the professional body for chartered accountants is warning. The Royal Mint said all machines which accept coins would need to be updated and companies must adapt cash handling equipment and retrain staff about the coins new features.
