As congregations dwindle the number of funerals the Church of England conducts has fallen to under 30%, the lowest number on record. The number of people attending Sunday service fell to 752,460 last year, a drop of 12,000 since 2014. This from 120,000 over a decade ago.

Some 961,000 attend church services throughout the week and 1.3 million went to Easter service and 2.5million attended a Christmas service. These are some of the figures obtained in the annual survey of over 16,000 Anglican churches in England.
