Widow’s headstone denied

A widow has been refused permission by a judge to place a headstone on her husband’s grave because the epitaph was “over sentimental”. Clara Scott, widow of Tom, 44, who died of a heart condition last March had in its tribute “The data of by without you. And each one is it's same. My mind if filled with thoughts of you. In tears, I call your name.”

But Anthony Leonard QC, the diocesan chancellor said the words, not of Christian significance and called “over sentimental.”
