Two teenagers have been arrested for kidnapping and torturing a childhood friend. They carved their initials on the victim's forehead and arm and urinating on him.
The pair had lured the victim to a secluded alleyway, where he was subjected to nearly three hours of horrific abuse. The incident took place on 24th August 2014, in Northolt, north-west London and the teenagers are starting their jail terms this week.
Police said the teenagers launched a “prolonged period of abuse and torture” after trying to rob the victim and realising he had no money.
The police further stated that Yousaf Khan (19) and Xavier Christopher (18) made repeated threats against the victim and his family before Khan punched him hard in the face. Khan, of Fulham, west London, then carved his initials into the teenager’s forehead. Christopher, of Northolt, also grabbed the knife and carved letters onto the victim's arm and they also urinated on him, torturing him for up to 3 hours.
The victim was then forced to go home to fetch money. This is where he was able to raise the alarm.
The pair had made him wear a helmet to hide his injuries and warned him to keep his phone on so they could hear what he was saying. However, the connection was disconnected when another call came in.
Khan and Christopher were consequently arrested and charged. After being charged, Yousaf Khan's older brother, Sameer Khan (23), had arranged for the victim to be attacked in the streets so that he was unable to give evidence in court.
Yousaf Khan and Xavier Christopher pleaded guilty to kidnap, false imprisonment and wounding at Isleworth Crown Court, in February, and have been jailed for nine and eight years respectively.
Sameer Khan received two years after pleading guilty to witness intimidation.
Detective Constable Michael Currie stated, "The victim was put through a horrific ordeal by someone he trusted as a friend. I hope this sentence allows the victim to move on and demonstrates that this type of action will be met with the full force of the law."
