The celebrations for the first United Nations International Day of Yoga at the world body's headquarters, will be broadcast live to an audience of thousands at Times Square, on Sunday 21st June 2015.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and General Assembly President Sam Kutesa will be gracing the occasion. There will be India-led celebrations as well, which will feature a special lecture and demonstration by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living founder.
There will also be another celebration of this prominent day at Times Square on 21st June where thousands will be performing yoga exercises.
Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's memorable address to the Indian-American community from the iconic Madison Square Garden last year was also telecast live on the giant electronic billboards at Times Square.
