Victoria Wasteney (38), a fervent Christian and NHS therapist was suspended after praying with a Muslim colleague and inviting her to church. She has launched a legal appeal after being disciplined.
Last week, lawyers for Victoria Wasteney submitted a challenge to an employment tribunal ruling under article 9 of the European Convention on Human rights, which protects freedom of conscience and religion.
Wasteney alleges that her freedom is “under attack” and her case has indicationsfor the right to express religious views in the workplace.
