Upton Court Grammar School in Slough is celebrating after four of their students secured places at Oxford University. The students who are all Asian, are among a total of 65% who gained A*-B, with an overall pass rate of 98%.
Faatimah Zamir achieved three As in Maths, Chemistry and Physics and planning to read Law in Oxford.
Akashdeep Bains achieved two A* and an A and will be studying Psychology at Oxford too.
Minahal Ahmed achieved three A* and will study Mathematics at Oxford, while Sulekha Harrish achieved an A* and two As asnd will be studying Mechanical Engineering there.
Zoya Hassan with her four A* grades, will study at the Imperial College and Kilesh Nundial who scored three A*s is also headed there.
According toa a local newspaper, Headteacher Mark Pritchard said, "All at Upton Court Grammar School are incredibly proud. I'm particularly proud that in addition to great exam results Upton Court students leave having received a quality education and have developed the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be successful and engaged citizens."
