The University of Westminster has launched one of the largest Apple iPad deployments in UK higher education as part of its commitment to improve the student experience through transforming teaching practice. The project, costing over £1 million, will revolutionise student learning and the way students collaborate with teaching staff, the University believes.

Over 2,000 second and third year undergraduate students at the University of Westminster’s Faculty of Science and Technology have been provided with iPads at the start of the academic year this September for use until graduation. Two hundred and fifty staff have already received their devices and have embarked on training for the new approach.
