It seems like people who work in the media are not the most congenial, especially journalists. According to the annual Ipsos Mori Veracity Index, journalists are among the least trusted professions in the UK, along with footballers while politicians came last in the most trusted professions.
Digital media strategist and author at Reuters Institute, Nic Newman said, “These findings should be a wake up call for journalists, platforms and regulators. Rebuilding trust will require all interested parties to work together. We need better incentives to create and showcase more accurate and more trusted content.”
