9-year-old defeats UK home secretary

Shreyas Royal, a nine-year-old Chess prodigy challenged Sajid Javid, home secretary of the UK for a game of chess and even beat him.

Shreyas's father, Jitendra Sing's was preparing to leave to India because his work visa in the UK was expected to expire in September. However, Mr. Singh was then awarded a visa for skilled workers and can apply for leave to remain in the UK because of Shreyas's talent. Shreyas has been described as the greatest British chess prospect in a generation and expected to be a grandmaster by the age of 12.
