Former welterweight world champion, Amir Khan, 31, returns to the boxing ring after a two-year break.

Being away from the boxing ring, one would expect Amir Khan to be nervous about his comeback; however, he seems to to be focussed on ensuring he gets his game right. He said, “There'll be nerves and I'll be keen not to make any silly mistakes but I think I'll be fine. I've been in the game a long time and I'm very experienced.”

The two-year break has made him more determined, and ensured that he got the much needed break he required. He shared, “I honestly do feel like a better fighter than ever before. Maybe my body needed this break. I've always had pressure on me and hadn't had a proper break from it before. There's no pressure now, no one's expecting anything.”

Before he hangs up his boots and retires from the boxing ring, Khan aspires to win a world title again. He said, “I want to win a world title again but there's not much left I want to do in boxing. I want half-a-dozen fights, then I'll call it a day.”

His TV stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! also helped the audience connect with him as they got to see his real side for the first time. Khan said, “It was nice I got to go into the jungle because I am a softie really and I think it's given me a few fanbase of people who had never watched one of my fights before.”
