The recently concluded T20 series between India and New Zealand was an epic one. How on earth can a team win two back-to-back Super Over matches boggles the mind. The amazing spectacle provided the world of cricket some of the best possible sporting entertainment since the 50 over cricket World Cup final in 2019.

This Indian cricket team is probably one the strongest in Indian cricket history. And, the formidable presence of Indian fans at venues across the world makes for an electric atmosphere and gives one the feeling of being in India.

Thanks to their swashbuckling brand of cricket Virat Kolhi's men have created a massive fan following around the world. Dare I say that any cricket match comes alive only when the Indian team arrives. I do not think there is another team that is stronger than India at the moment. They seem to find a way to win in the most impossible situation.

The fearless approach with which their youngsters play in the IPL tournament continues to produce fearless and entertaining cricketers. Currently India has the best fast bowler in the world for all formats of the game in Jasprit Bumrah. The experienced warhorse Mohammed Shami reminds me of the similar role Zaheer Khan played for India or what James Anderson does for England.

The decision to have KL Rahul keep wickets in the T20 games gives India the option of an extra batsman or bowler. It's like having 12 players against 11.

Can the current Indian team win the 2020 ICC Men's T20 World Cupto be held in Australia from 18 October to 15 November? I'm sure Ravi Shastri, Virat Kohli and the Indian fans will be keeping a close watch on England who are the team to beat.

Like the Big Boss television series in India which is turning out to be the most entertaining so far, watching the Indian cricket team takes you through all the emotions. It is more than mere cricket. It's like the feeling when your favourite Premiership football team wins on a Saturday and your celebrations go wild! That is the effect that the current Indian team has on you.
