Seema Malhotra, the first female Punjabi MP and first woman MP for Feltham and Heston was a part of the photo taken at the Parliament today by all female MPs to commemorate 100 years of Women Suffragette. Seema said, "It has been 100 years since it was put in to law that women were given the right vote. It is an honour to serve in Parliament and I am proud to have followed in the foot steps of the Suffragette movement for whom we are all indebted to their courage and campaign for equality for women in the UK, which continues today. #Vote100 #Suffragette100."
