Vaso Nagrik Mandal UK celebrate its 50th anniversary

On Sunday 30 October 2022, Vaso Nagrik Mandal UK celebrated its 50th anniversary and jointly with the National Association of Patidar Samaj and Karamsad Samaj Celebrated Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birth Anniversary and Diwali.

 

Committee Members of the National Association of Patidar Samaj and Vaso Nagrik Mandal had made all the arrangements and decorated the hall.

 

Special Guests and speakers included Lord and Lady Navnit Dholakia, Mr Sanjay Kumar representing the Indian High Commission, Pravinbhai Amin, President of National Association of Patidar Samaj and Vaso Nagrik Mandal, Mahendrabhai Patel, President of Karamsad Samaj, Jayshree Patel, President of Nadiad Nagrik Mandal, Mukundbhai Patel l, President of Dharmaj Society London, Jayeshbhai Patel proprietor of Nursing homes and supporter of Balham Mandir and Pravinbhai Patni of Minar Jewellers, Tooting.

 

All were invited to light a dip and offer flowers to Sardar Patel.

 

The Music group played Rastriya and popular songs.

 

Pravinbhai Amin set the ball rolling by reciting the formation of Vaso Nagrik Mandal (U.K.) in 1972. He described, how in those days everything needed to be done by volunteers. He was joined by Committee Members of Vaso Nagrik Mandal, Nainesh Patel, Pradipbhai Amin, Eleshbhai Patel, Vatsal Amin, Niranjan Shah, Krishnakant Shah, Gopalbhai Patel and Rashmikant Amin. They jointly hailed Vaso‘a 50th Anniversary and spoke about various activities including helping financially various institutions in Vaso Gam.

 

Falguni, Bindu, Sharmila, Priti, Abhisha, Minaxi, Rashmi, presented Ghoomar Dance and a Garba Dance.

 

Eleshbhai Patel presented popular music on Sitar.

 

Pravinbhai, Lord Navnitbhai Dholakia and Sanjay Kumar spoke about Sardar Patel’s life and particularly his achievements which created a unified India.

 

All joined the festival dancing to Gujarati Garba and popular Bollywood songs.

 

All enjoyed delicious dinner and mithai from Annakut which the National Association of Patidar Samaj had organised at the House of Lords Diwali celebration by HFB.

 

The vote of thanks was by Jayeshbhai Patel.
