The US pilot has been named who died after his fighter jet crashed near RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk. 34-year-old Major Taj Sareen, passed away when his FA-18 Hornet crashed into a field in Redmere, on Wednesday 21st October 2015, at approximately 10:30 am.
Major Sareen was a pilot of 11 years experience in the Marine Corps. It is said that he was returning from operations against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
There are investigations going on regarding the cause of the crash.
