On Sunday, March 27, in the UK clocks will go forward by an hour at 1 am. Clocks changing can cause problems with a child's sleep schedule, hence, to make the transition easier to survive the change, parents can adopt a few tricks and tips to ensure a good sleep.

Parents can make good use of blackout blinds and curtains which help the child to sleep better in the evenings and will not wake up early. Portable blackouts are good to use as they block the sunlight and stick directly onto the window or frame. They are also great at keeping heat out of the room.

A good bedtime routine can go well with blackout blinds where children prepare for sleep by relaxing and winding down. Children who have a consistent bed routine are less affected by the clock changes. Along with this, reduce the screen time an hour before going to bed which will help the little one to cope with the transition.
