Bhoniefas Rexson, 19, a teenage rapper and a convicted gang member has been jailed for 14 years for stabbing a gang rival Gedeon Ngwendema, 21,to death at Brent Cross Shopping Centre.
Prosecutors chose not to pursue a murder conviction and accepted a manslaughter plea after Rexson claimed that he did not intend to kill Ngwendema, as his death was the result of a
loss of control.
Sentencing Rexson, the judge said: “I cannot let this go on without saying I have deep reservations about the acceptance of the plea by the prosecution, when they are saying this only just meets the criteria for loss of control.”
