Sri Baladiya Leva Patel Sarvodal (UK) organisation was created 46 years back with an aim to keep youngsters of the community in touch with our roots. Since its inception, the sanstha has involved itself in programmes highlighting Indian culture and ways to connect the young with their roots.

The group's Diwali Snehmilan, which was held recently at Harrow's Harrow Leisure Centre saw over 1000 people participate in the event. The evening began at 5 pm, and saw several activities including rangoli darshan, raas garba, and a delicious community dinner. All, young and the old, delighted themselves in the celebrations and could be seen enjoying themselves and giving each other Diwali wishes. 14 youths out of 52 from London will join in a charity bike ride from Kutch to Ahmedabad, organised by Sri Kutchi Leva Patel Community to be held in March next year. The Baladia sanstha appealed for funds for the charity, and soon enough over £4000 were collected in addition to the £500 forwarded by the organisation itself.
