Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury has come together, in the true spirit of community, by making hundreds of donations to the most vulnerable in our society over the Easter period.

On Tuesday 28th March 2023, volunteers at the Mandir transported over 200 stationery gift packs and Easter eggs to children’s hospices & hospitals including Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, The KEF Kids Centre, Whittington Childrens Hospital and Islington Community Nursing Team.

Additionally, 6 large Easter hampers consisting of biscuits, chocolates and Easter eggs were donated to hospices and care homes at St Luke’s Hospice, MHA Riverview Lodge, Knights Court Care Home and Ashton Lodge Care home.

Each of these hampers and gift packs were generously donated by members of the Mandir community to help children, families and the elderly bring a bit more light into their lives during this holiday season. All inspired by their Guru, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj's teaching of putting "Society before Self".

In response to these acts of kindness, Noah's Ark thanked the Mandir community with, "[This] generosity will enable those we support make the most of every day, and this will mean different things to different people".
