Shradh Bhajans history

Shradh is a time in the Hindu calendar where families and friends mourn in memory of the departed souls of their loved ones. For families we have serviced since 1993, we decided to hold bhajans annually on their behalf since 1997. At first, we started holding the bhajans in our premises in New Southgate and realised that we needed a larger venue as we were overwhelmed by the response that we received.
The event had to be in planning for 6 months to the due date within the Hindu calendar which has just two weekends during the Shradh days when offering prayers to the departed.
2019 was the last fully attended event with approximately 1000 clients attending. Sadly due to restrictions in 2020, we were only able to live stream the bhajans with 1200 devices connected during the live stream. This first live stream and recording to date has been watched 18,000 times via YouTube.
It was from the feedback of this live stream event in 2020 during Covid lockdown, we realised that more people can join us for this event from around the UK & Worldwide.
Sunday 3rd October 2021 was our 25th Annual Shradh Bhajans which was led by Bhavik Haria alongside Bhavya Raval, Robin Christian, Dhani D, Ghanshyam Makwana, Shrikunj Gadhvi and Otis Lawrence. Sound by Raj Pindoria - Professors of Sound, and live streamed by Rupesh Savani - Cookies Production, which was viewed by over 750 devices during the live bhajans. At time of writing this article there has been over 6000 views after the event which remains on Bhavik Haria’s YouTube channel.
I take this opportunity to thank all those who helped Jay Tailor and Bhavik Haria in putting the event together, hoping you can join us again in 2022 for the 26th Annual Shradh Bhajans.
