An independent inquiry has found that female members of the House of Commons have been harassed either verbally or physically by Male MPs.
A retired High Court judge said there were serious and urgent problems and some MPs were predatory in their approach. These allegations included “inappropriate touching” such as men “putting their arms around women, leaving a hand on their knee for an uncomfortably long time, trying to kiss them, grabbing their arms or stroking their breasts or bottoms.” However, Dame Laura was unable to name individuals and she criticized the Speaker of the house, John Bercow and the clerk of the Commons, Sir David Natzler.
