Her love affair is as solid as a rock. It is not only engraved in stone but may perhaps even move a heart of stone.
Yes, Tracey Emin has done the unexpected, doing something out of the box – very characteristic of a maverick artist. Tracey has taken the plunge, but the lucky person is neither a man nor a woman. It’s, in fact, a rock.
According to a report in The Daily Telegraph, she has married a large ancient stone in France.
The pair is now living in marital bliss with the rock based in her garden.
She told The Art Newspaper: “It just means that at the moment I am not alone; somewhere on a hill facing the sea, there is a very beautiful ancient stone, and it’s not going anywhere. It will be there, waiting for me. It’s in my garden. It’s very nice and very impressive and I like it a lot.”
However, it’s difficult to gauge whether the rock gave its consent (“I do”) before marrying the 52-year-old artist, or was it a forced marriage?
