Lohana Community North London (LCNL), commemorated the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami Utsav on Wednesday 17 April 2024. Supported by the esteemed Yajmans of the family of Late Shree Hirjibhai Thakrar, being Prakashbhai, Rajubhai, Bharatbhai, Sanjaybhai & the Thakrar Parivar, who have been at the forefront of this celebratory event for the past five years. The celebration resonated with the spirit of unity and devotion, especially this year in keeping with the opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya (India).

Drawing parallels between the legendary Raghuvanshi the event highlighted the timeless virtues of kindness, compassion, humility, and justice embodied by Lord Ram.

Ram Navami Utsav holds immense significance for the Lohana community, symbolising the triumph of good over evil and the eternal values upheld by Lord Ram. The event at The Dhamecha Lohana Centre was transformed into a vibrant spectacle reminiscent of mini Ayodhya, with the melodious rendition of bhajans by the talented music group comprising Nikesh Parmar, Rajvi Raja and their ensemble of musicians.

Welcoming the guests on behalf of LCNL President Meenaben Jasani and the entire Executive Committee, compere Sanjay Rughani invited the Thakrar Family along with some of the Committee members to light the Diyas. Captivating decorations set out by Prafulaben Chotai and Maheshwariben Kotecha. A large LED screen backdrop mesmerised attendees with scenic depictions from the epic Ramayan. In a poignant moment, it was noted that just as in Ayodhya where Lord Ram graced after 500 years, in Dhamecha Lohana Centre, his divine presence was felt, by the audience of a full house.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Harrow Mayor Ramji Chauhan, Mayoress Meena Chauhan accompanied by Councillor Anjana Patel, along with members of the LCNL Community and friends who graced the occasion, adding to the jubilant atmosphere. The event saw an impressive turnout of 800-plus guests, who immersed themselves in the spiritual ambience and festive cheer.
The social team, led by Asst. Social Secretary Paragbhai Thacker with dedicated volunteers, served Prashadi, symbolising the spirit of sharing and friendship that defines the Lohana community.
The vote of thanks was given by Vice President Ronak Paw.
