The Muslim population of UK has grown by almost three quarters in a decade to 2.7 million and is facing questions over how a community with such conservative values could fit into Britain's liberal secular society.

Trevor Phillips, the former head of the equalities watchdog has said that the Muslim communities are unlike others in Britain and the country should accept that they will not integrate in the same way others do, as they 'see the world differently from the rest of us,' The Times has reported.

The Muslim Council of Britain further added that demanding change from Muslims actually encourages discrimination against them.
