Preparation begins for Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022

Two-member Indian delegation visits London and Birmingham to engage with the Gujarati diaspora

A two-member delegation led by Sonal Mishra, Secretary & Commissioner, Rural Development Department, Government of Gujarat visited London and Birmingham on 28-30 November 2021 to promote the 10th Edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022, which will be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from 10-12 January 2022.

During the visit, High Commission of India organised a community event at Sangat Centre, Harrow, London on 28 November 2021 where Ms Mishra and Rohit Vadhwana, First Secretary (Eco, Press & Info) interacted with the invited community representatives from various organizations. 

Aditya Bhatt, an officer from the Government of Gujarat and the second member of the delegation, showed three videos depicting the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022, Dholera Special Investment Region and GIFT City. 

Ms Mishra gave a presentation covering a comprehensive overview of Gujarat State where she informed the community members about the cultural, economic and social aspects of the State of Gujarat. 

Mr Vadhwana briefed the community members and delegation about India-UK bilateral relations with a special focus on the UK’s business and community links with the State of Gujarat. Representatives of the community also briefed the delegation about their work and activities in the UK.
