Deputy Mayor of London for Business, Rajesh Agrawal has recently received The Freedom of the City of London honour. It is a unique and one of the oldest surviving traditional ceremonies still in existence and is believed to have been first presented in 1237. The Freedom of the City is an honour bestowed by a municipality upon a valued member of the community, or upon a visiting celebrity or dignitary. Rajesh in a social media post said, “I came to London 17 years ago, worked in the city, started my own enterprise and ended up becoming the Deputy Mayor of the greatest city on earth. I am now helping othersto do the same.”
