All the Jain organisations celebrated Lord Mahaveer's Birthday on Sunday 1st May 2016 in Harrow. There were around 750 people present, who presented Mahaveer Awards to two outstanding individuals. The awards were given away by Dr. Mukul Shah and Dr. Freya Shah as well as Anubhai and Taraben Shah to Darryl Cunnigham, who on behalf of League Against Cruel Sports, were monitoring illegal Fox hunt when they were brutally attacked. Cunninghum had a cracked vertebra and Roger Swaine also sustained injuries.
