Sonya Barlow is an Entrepreneur, Author, Presenter and Content Creator, is a Pakistani Born British Asian Woman. She was recently seen on the digital billboard at Piccadilly Circus.
Speaking to Asian Voice, Barlow described that growing up in London, the iconic Picaddily Circus has been the backdrop for her many tourist adventures, days out around town, shopping experiences, university nights and family pictures.When Samsung asked Sonya to be the face of their billboard this Spring, it was a dream come true for this South Asian Role Model. Having lost her job pre-pandemic, Sonya wanted to take her career into her own hands and launched the LMFNetwork talent network and inclusion consultancy. During the pandemic, she built her brand using social media and networking events before landing a book deal for Unprepared to Entrepreneur and the first business show on the BBC Asian network - the Everyday Hustle.She actively works with tech, travel, lifestyle and fashion brands in diverse mainstream media. Sonya is an elder didi - which makes her passionate about showcasing South Asian women confidently, embracing their careers and being their best selves through content and conversations. This year she was signed by talent agency Outreach Agency, who secured her a spot with Samsung to launch their new camera. Sonya shone on the screens of Piccadilly Circus with a green suit, brown eyes and red lips, bringing together some best bits of her heritage and culture and representing brown-skinned girls all over the world.
