Britain: It is said that one in eight Metropolitan police officers are being investigated for their behaviour, as well as for allegations of sexual assault, unlawful arrest, misuse of detention and stop and search powers, and corrupted practice.
Britain's third largest police force, the Greater Manchester police are said to be investigating over 1,100 officers, the equivalent of one in six officers. This includes 29 investigations into death following police contact, as well as two in police custody, none of which were criminal inquiries.
During misconduct investigations, officers can either be suspended on full pay or moved to a different role.
