Overseas Friends of BJP UK organised a spirited car rally on Saturday 16 March 2024, dedicated to showcasing unwavering support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the forthcoming elections in India. The rally commenced at Shree Kutch Leva Patel Community (SKLPC) Sports and Community Centre in Northolt and culminated at the Swaminarayan BAPS Temple in Neasden. There was a remarkable turnout of over 250+ cars, reflecting the widespread support garnered by the cause.

CB Patel, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Asian Voice and Gujarat Samachar, flagged off the rally, symbolising the unity and determination of the participants. He recalled that a decade ago, at the SKLPC campus, a rally was organised when Shri Narendra Modi was campaigning for the first time for a member of parliament.

CB added, “I was there. It was history that there were only 2 MPs from the BJP in the parliament, then the number was 273 after the election of 2014 and in 2019 they got more than 300 seats. Now in the current general election, 400 or more seats is not impossible. It is our collective responsibility to see that the Modi government gets more power.”

CB further said, “The rally is going to culminate at BAPS Temple Neasden. The Hindu Temple inaugurated in Abu Dhabi is a fantastic start for the new era of India.

“The overseas friends of BJP are doing a fabulous job to spread awareness towards Sanatan Dharma and to expose lies regarding it. I can recall the meeting with Late Shri Atal Bihari Bajpai in the office of Asian Voice and after that Overseas Friends of BJP was formed.

“Many committed pioneers like Dr Madhukar Ambekar among others nurtured this organisation during the years.”

The event commenced with vibrant performances, setting the stage for a dynamic display of solidarity and enthusiasm. After the rally, Padma Shri Bob Blackman MP addressed the enthusiastic crowd, emphasising the significance of the event and the pivotal role of the Indian diaspora in shaping the future of India. He described the upcoming general elections in India as the 'biggest exercise of democracy.
"Now the friendship between India and the United Kingdom has grown stronger and stronger ever since we have been involved in government and BJP gained power in India. The UK looks to India as a fantastic growing economy,” Blackman said.

"But we do have that friendship agreement with India signed on cooperation on defence, on security and, indeed, leading to the Free Trade Agreement. Now that's going to give India and the United Kingdom a tremendous opportunity. India's economy is on the way to being the number one in the world.” Blackman also praised British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak while urging people, including the Indian diaspora, to support him for his re-election in the polls.

This successful event was meticulously planned and executed by the OFBJP UK Gujarat Chapter Team led by Deepak Patel, Krunal Thakkar and the entire Gujarat Core Karyakartas team underscoring their commitment to promoting the ideals and leadership of Shri Narendra Modi and the BJP.
