New state pension affects at least 16m young workers

According to newly released figures by the Government, at least 16 million people who are under the age of 43 will be at great loss due to the new “flat rate” state pension.

For the first time, figures from the Department for Work and Pension (DWP) show the degree to which young workers will be worse off, while those aged 50s and 60s are the biggest winners of the state pension.
