While arranged marriages continue to increase among British Asians, UK Private Investigators, a growing London and East Sussex-based company with international operations, is launching a new service to help families whose daughters and sons are entering into arranged marriages.

Aimed primarily at the South Asian community, the Arranged Marriage Investigations service will ensure that a prospective bride or groom is a suitable prospect for marriage and is not hiding something that could harm their intended spouse or damage the family. UK Private Investigators will be one of just two agencies in the UK to offer this service.

According to a study of 600 couples from metropolitan cities in India*, 69% marriages are arranged while 31% are "love marriages". Many sons and daughters favour their parents' guidance in identifying the right spouse and forming a lasting union with a suitable family that will fit with their aspirations and life plans.
