The National Diabetes Experience Survey is a new survey which gives people living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes in England the opportunity to feedback on their experiences.

People who were randomly selected have been invited to take part from 18 March 2024. If you are living with diabetes, you may have been selected to take part and received a letter with information about the survey. NHS England would like as many people as possible to take part, so that the results reflect the views of different people living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

The survey takes no more than 15 minutes to complete and can be done online, on paper, or over the phone. If you need support completing the survey, you can:

Please visit www.diabetessurvey.co.uk for more information about the survey, including how to complete it in another language.

NHS England will use the findings to understand and improve experiences of NHS care and self-management for people living with diabetes. The results of the survey will be available in Autumn 2024 at national and local level.

If you have not been selected to take part in the survey, but would like to let the NHS know about your experiences, there are other ways you can provide feedback. Please visit https://www.england.nhs.uk/get-involved/get-involved/how/feedback/ for more information.
