A special prayer was organised on 20thJanuary 2019by The Lambeth Basaveshwara foundation for the health and well-being of His Holiness Shri Shri Shiva Kumar Swami ji at the Basaveshwara statue in London.
Swami ji donated on 17th February 2013 and blessed with a foundation stone to be placed underneath the Basaveshwara statue in London. This foundation stone is laid in the basement of the statue. The foundation stone is made up of five precious metals as per Indian tradition.
Members of British Indian/Kannada community and the former Mayor of The London Borough of Lambeth Dr Neeraj Patil joined in a prayer to express their wishes for health and well-being of Shri Shri Shivakumar Swami ji. They also requested the Government of India to award the highest civilian award “ The Bharat Ratna” to Swami ji for his contribution to social work and eradication for child poverty in India.
