A mother who lost her unborn baby because of an ectopic pregnancy was astounded when doctors later found a healthy 'hidden' foetus growing in her womb.
Thirty-two-year-old Sadie Brittle was completely devastated when she lost her baby eight weeks into the pregnancy in April.
But this month Sadie felt unwell and noticed that her stomach was getting bigger. She went to her GP. To her surprise, medics found a tiny second embryo developing in her uterus and realised that she had a heterotopic pregnancy, which affects just one in 30,000 women.
Sadie and her 36-year-old husband Gary Brittle, of Polesworth, Warwickshire, have said that their baby boy is due in November and he will be named Teddy, according to a report in The Times.
The couple have a four-year-old daughter, Summer.
